While I find it slightly annoying that Givenchy has barely progressed from the autumn winter 2010 couture collection (they look like they could all be from the same show), I won’t deny that the pieces are beautiful. A few interesting points of note, firstly, Riccardo Tisci cast all Asian models, which worked very well with this small collection. Secondly, a lot of the white/cream coloured dresses had panels of bright colour at the back, orange, lime green, or fuschia pink. Thirdly, these pieces would make fantastic wedding gowns, as they all have stunning backs. And since you stare at the bride’s back for ages while she is at the altar, you’d certainly be kept entertained by these beautiful details.
